Casinos Featured In Movies That You Can Actually Visit
Written by JR HartleyDid you know that there are actual casinos featured in Hollywood films that you can go to in real life?
The ones we featured here aren’t in Finland, unfortunately, but a few of them have luotettavat nettikasinot that you can access from Finland.
The casinos are showcased in the most spectacular ways in these casino-themed movies and you have to experience it for yourself. You might want to plan a trip to Las Vegas to see these marvels of luxurious wonder in person or just binge all the movies we mention in this article.
The Mirage
The Mirage Hotel and Casino is an iconic part of the skyline in Las Vegas. It doesn’t have an online casino, but it was the filming location of the 1997 Chevy Chase movie Vegas Vacation and the 2001 film Ocean's Eleven.
According to the expert Auli Wälkky, the portrayal of The Mirage in Vegas Vacation was somewhat accurate, even though the film was an outlandish comedy. In the movie, you see the casino keep various animals like dolphins, white tigers, white lions, and leopards, and in real life, you can visit them.
If you’re not into animals, you can also see the casino’s volcano erupt and attend a Cirque Du Soleil show. Of course, if you want to gamble, you can do that on the casino floor. There’s also a sports section where you can drink, watch games and eat.
The Bellagio
Another incredibly famous casino featured in the 2001 heist film Ocean's Eleven, is The Bellagio. The plan in the film is to rob three casinos simultaneously and The Bellagio, the MGM Grand and The Mirage, are the characters' primary targets.
Although the characters mention the other two casinos, the plot's main focus is The Bellagio, which gave the crew permission to use actual security footage of the casino.
Ocean's Eleven gives viewers a glimpse into The Bellagio’s prestige. It features the casino floor, revealing the sheer number the slot games, poker and blackjack tables. The film also shows off the beautiful botanical gardens, lobby and lake.
The Venetian
Although the fame of The Venetian rivals that of The Mirage and The Bellagio, it isn't featured in the original 1960's version of Ocean's 11. It was the primary filming location for Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous in 2005.
In 2001, the casino, lobby and exterior were in the film Rat Race because the film featured the casino's CEO. On the other hand, Miss Congeniality 2 only features one suite.
The casino includes some incredible Venetian landmarks like St. Mark’s Campanile. Besides its Venetian flair, it also is a luxurious resort with many events, including concerts.
Caesar’s Palace
Caesar's Palace has probably been the most featured in films out of all the casinos on the list. It was a location in The Hangover series, Rain Man, Iron Man, and Dreamgirls, even though not all those films used all the casino areas.
Because The Hangover required the use of a tiger, it didn't feature Caesar's Palace completely. The filmmakers left the suites out of the movie recreated them in a studio, but the actual rooms were in the movie Rain Man.
Caesar’s Palace is one of the few casinos we’ve listed that also has an online casino. Just like at the physical location, you can play blackjack, craps, slots and poker all from your home.
Circus Circus
Circus Circus isn't just a casino for adults; the designers created it with kids and families in mind. There are roller coasters, video arcades, carnival games, acrobats and food. Of course, there are also casino games, and they even provide gambling lessons.
Despite the range of activities it offers, it doesn’t appear in a wide variety of films, only in Diamonds Are Forever and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.
Planet Hollywood
Again, not many films have featured this casino as a location, even though Hollywood actually inspired the creators. The two most famous ones are What Happens in Vegas and Somewhere.
People know Planet Hollywood for its restaurants instead of the casino or other, more family-friendly activities. It has an excellent collection of film memorabilia, and it’s a great place to stay if you visit Las Vegas.
Conclusion
There are many casino-themed movies out there, many featuring real-life casinos. These are some of the more famous casinos that you can visit if you visit Las Vegas. If you are stuck at home you might just want to enjoy watching the movies we mentioned or browse more interesting topics like blackjack-themed films.
