Netflix will be showing the fifth and final season of global hit crime drama Money Heist (also known as La Casa De Papel) later in 2021.

The drama about an odd group of robbers who attempt to carry out the most perfect robbery in Spanish history by stealing EUR2.4 billion from the Royal Mint of Spain is a non-English title that registered 65 million views for the eight episodes in the fourth series which was released worldwide in April 2020.

Viewers have been hooked on the series since it launched in 2017 due to an exciting storyline and adept acting. Whilst viewers are still awaiting confirmation of the date the series is due to begin, there is excitement to have online with live casino baccarat which can be enjoyed from the comfort of home or on a mobile device anytime, anywhere. There are new game features that can cause the same level of excitement as watching Money Heist.

Advance Notice of Season Five

When Netflix announced the fifth series, writer and producer Alexa Pina said that the team had been working hard to ensure the storylines would all be tied up, though warned of “extreme and savage levels” whilst also promising the best, most exciting season of all, with one of the directors, Álex Rodrigo, also expressing the plan to close the series in style in a way that fans would approve. For this reason, season five will have 10 episodes.

Hints from Production

Production on series five began in the summer of 2020. Fans leaked on-set photographs that production company Vancouver Media had not approved, which show that Berlin (Pedro Alonso) is back for the new series, looking dapper as always. Úrsula Corberó, who plays Tokio, also confirmed her return to the series, as did Itziar Ituño who plays Raquel Murillo. In September 2020, The Professor (Sergio Marquina) posted a photo of one of his costumes drenched in blood

New Cast Members for Season Five

Four new cast members will feature in season five. Miguel Ángel Silvestre will play a new villain for the final season and Patrick Criado, Alberto Amarilla and José Manuel Seda are the others. What may be a surprise to some is that Nairobi (Alba Flores) is on the cast list for season five despite her death last season. It is unclear if this is flashbacks or repeats.

Recap of Series Four

The final season is expected to pick up where it left off as the gang attempt to make their escape from the Bank of Spain. The series ended with former police inspector Raquel Murillo, now known as Lisbon (played by Itziar Ituño), enter the Bank of Spain as the latest heist was thrown into jeopardy. The Professor was caught red-handed by Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri).

There has been much discussion about Alicia Sierra ever since she first appeared in season three. Alicia is a tough, cold-hearted Inspector who will do what she has to complete a job and get the outcome she wants. She was last seen holding a gun to The Professor's head in the season four finale thinking he is her enemy, and then the credits rolled.
