The Heat Inc has released a dynamic and boisterous EP, that is bound to get your blood racing and your feet pounding.

Hailing from Italy and England, with their headquarters in London, John Dodd; vocals, Nicolas Rigot; bass, Maurizio Vitale; drums and Marco Simoncelli; guitar entered RYP Recording Studios in North West London, earlier this year, with Michael Smith at the desk, to bare their soul via music.

Smith has worked with The Saints, Elvis Costello, Honey Lung, and many more at this studio. So, Heat Inc knew they were in safe hands, and Smith knew he had a collection of talented and passionate musicians.

The EP opens with 'Down in the City', a track with attitude, loud and proud guitars, moved with tribal-like drums, and Nicolas’ back-breaking bass line, and as the song fades, the feedbacking guitars cut in. Rock ‘n’ Roll at its finest

‘Down in the City’, is quickly followed by ‘Raptors’, a frantic and fast-paced rock track, with a mesmerising guitar echo effect in the middle eight, that coats ‘Raptors’ with a sinister feel. I get the hunch that is The Heat Inc’s intention. Just as you are catching your breath, ‘Sammy Swing Easy’ fades in, a nod to the USA southern rock sound of the 70s, only with louder amps and more distortion, it works a treat. Then the EP goes up a notch in terms of rock, as the fourth track ‘Polaroids’ enters the frame, with its frenzied intro, that drops down as a throbbing bassline cuts in, as Dodd’s harmonic and gravel type vocals take the listener on another journey.

The EP closes on a crescendo with ‘Your After Love Song’, which opens with an enthralling guitar riff, as a declaration of love is performed by Heat Inc that is passionate and authentic in a ‘dirty’ pop song.

The Heat Inc is a talented band, for their musicianship and songwriting skills shine brightly in an audio sense, throughout this EP. From Marco’s slick guitar playing to the hammer of God's drum sound of Maurizio. I believe the UK is ready for a no messing, in-your-face rock band. Give this EP a listen, you won’t be disappointed.
