Max Holloway is one of the best fighters on the planet and is willing to fight anyone, but he will most certainly earn his purse when he goes up against Brian Ortega this July at UFC 226.

It could probably be said that the FIFA world cup is the league of leagues, where the club is a school, and the World Cup a university. This unique tournament, now nearly a century old, is one in which the purest skill of each country is put on display.
From the penalty box to Pandora’s Box, a tale of exaggerated religious tribalism, eternal political discord, hope and despair in equal measures and the beginning of the beginning. Welcome to Beirut where the rules are, there are no rules!
The Scottish Cup Final riot 1980. Scenes of mayhem engulfed Hampden as Rangers lost to bitter rivals Celtic, in a 1-0 Scottish Cup final defeat that ended in scenes described by the legendary Archie MacPherson in his own unique way " This is like a scene now out of Apocalypse Now...We've got the equivalent of Passchendaele and that says nothing for Scottish football. At the end of the day, let's not kid ourselves. These supporters hate each other".

Raymond Colin Wilkins 14th September 1956 -4th April 2018.Yesterday the football world lost an absolute Legend and Gentleman as Ray ' Butch ' Wilkins sadly passed away. The one man I could watch all day on TV as his knowledge of football was second to none. One of a limited few pundits I'd never mute the TV for.

The statistics make ugly reading for Eddie Jones and England rugby fans. Three Six Nations defeats in a row for the first time since 2006, a first defeat at Twickenham since October 2015 and England’s lowest ever Six Nations finish. It would be fair to state that Jones has a few questions to answer ahead of this summer’s tour to South Africa and next year’s World Cup.

Walked on Water and Glided on Grass

A football genius of balance and grace,
Self-styled icon and playmaking ace.
Midfield Guvnor with a talent so rare,
Would light up a match with his guile and flair.
The 11th staging of the World Cup TM was held in Argentina in 1978. The competition logo was based on the signature gesture of former President Juan Peron i.e., a salute to the crowd with both arms extended above his head. The design was had been in 1974, two years prior to the military coup in 1976. And whilst they tried to change the competition's logo, the design was already broadly commercialized and merchandise had already been made. A forced modification would automatically trigger a litany of lawsuits. against the country, and so the government dropped their objections.
Frankie is a one-off, he comes from Halifax,
Lived life in the fast lane, he took it to the max.
Frankie had it all, in every single way,
It was poetry in motion watching Frankie play.
It seems like an implausible scenario now, but there was once a day when the sun beat down on Wembley Stadium, an England side had just rammed four past Germany, and the World Cup was on its way to Lancaster Gate. That day was July 30, 1966, a date that every true Englander knows as well as the Battle of Hastings, the declaration of World War II, or the death of Princess Diana. It represented the completion of an impossible dream, forged by many years of toil, ingenuity and fortitude.

About Us

ZANI was conceived in late 2008 and the fan base gradually grew by word of mouth. Key contributors came from those of the music, film and fashion industry and the voice of ZANI grew louder. So, when in 2013 investor, contributor and fan of ZANI Alan McGee* offered his support to help restyle and relaunch the site it was inevitable that traffic would increase dramatically and continues to grow. *Alan McGee co-founder of Creation Records and new label 359 Music..
