Robin Friday – A True Football Legend

Robin Friday is a footballer whose name will be relatively unknown with many football fans, he played lower league football starting his football career at the long gone Walthamstow Avenue, making his debut in 1971 before moving on to Hayes.  After gaining a glowing reputation in non-league football he moved to Reading in 1973 playing 121 games and scoring 46 goals. Then finally he moved on to Cardiff making only 21 appearances and scoring 6 goals. Friday hardly offered a high return on his £30,000 transfer fee considering his appearances were made over one year.

About Us

ZANI was conceived in late 2008 and the fan base gradually grew by word of mouth. Key contributors came from those of the music, film and fashion industry and the voice of ZANI grew louder. So, when in 2013 investor, contributor and fan of ZANI Alan McGee* offered his support to help restyle and relaunch the site it was inevitable that traffic would increase dramatically and continues to grow. *Alan McGee co-founder of Creation Records and new label 359 Music..
