The world is in need of a new rock star.  Someone who has the potential to become the next generation’s Mick Jagger, Steve Marriott, Roger Daltrey, or Rod Stewart et al.  And I think I’ve found him.

We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in Ohio.”

‘Ohio’ Neil Young

Thus go the lyrics of a song released by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in June 1970. A song which pays reference  to the Kent State University shootings on 4th May 1970 in which the Ohio National Guard killed four students and wounded nine others during a students protest against Nixon’s invasion of Cambodia. Some major Radio Stations in the US banned the song upon it’s release, since the song attacked Nixon’s Presidency, and perhaps was the first record to
 publicly slate a US president.

Unbridled access to two of the country's biggest bands, a work ethic unmatched and a walk-the-walk rock 'n' roll attitude, Brian Cannon acted as Artistic Director for a number of projects with both Oasis and The Verve. He has also created work for a number of world-wide brands such as Converse and Levi's®. His company, Microdot, has just celebrated its twenty-year anniversary at the forefront of British Rock 'n' Roll.  To celebrate Brian's work and his achievements, I put some questions to Brian.

Written by Katy Georgiou

tony colton katy georgiou zani 4.j

Tony Colton isn’t a name you’d instantly think of when contemplating rock and roll history. Not like Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton or Robert Plant. But to say he’s not part of that history would be far from the truth. He was on a night out with Jimi Hendrix just days before he died. He had heart to hearts with his then best friend Eric Clapton at a time when the Cream guitarist was unsure of his future, and he fell out with Jimmy Page over a guitar riff. He was on the rise as a credible artist for years. He was a rock frontman himself, a songwriter to many of the big bands of the 60s,
