On 27th November 2012, ZANI were invited down to take part on Pelirocco Platters,  Brighton’s  community station RadioReverb.

Pelirocco Platters is the Radio subsidiary of the famous Rock ‘n’ Roll Hotel, Hotel Pelirocco.  A classy and cosy hotel that captures the true spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll, each room is themed to capture an era or genre of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  With iconic posters and photos from top to bottom, ranging from The Smiths to Johnny Cash. In addition it has a nice little bar, which has seen the likes of Noddy Holder holding court into the early hours, and a breakfast that sets you up for the day. The hotel certainly does inspire and intrigue you, and when ZANI’s editor Matteo Sedazzari  was checking in (Pelirocco Platters kindly gave me a room), a glamour photo shoot was taking place in the lobby, which seems to be the norm.

Pelirocco Platters  is hosted by Mick Habeshaw Robinson AKA Ginger Mick, a face on  the Acid House scene, a pioneering casual back in the early eighties and a true lover of music, football and fashion.

Matteo Sedazzari spoke in depth and delight with Mick about the energy of music, Acid House, bands, online magazines and much more, with Sedazzari playing some  favourite tunes ranging from The Smiths to Beyonce.

Give it a listen

And if you visiting Brighton, be sure to stay at Pelirocco Platters, and you might find the Hunter S Thompson in you itching to get out.

About Us

ZANI was conceived in late 2008 and the fan base gradually grew by word of mouth. Key contributors came from those of the music, film and fashion industry and the voice of ZANI grew louder. So, when in 2013 investor, contributor and fan of ZANI Alan McGee* offered his support to help restyle and relaunch the site it was inevitable that traffic would increase dramatically and continues to grow. *Alan McGee co-founder of Creation Records and new label 359 Music..
