Happy Mondays' Gary Whelan releases a new video for the track 'Show Me The Truth'.

A hauntingly beautiful number backed up with excellent production and stand out vocal its probably his finest solo recording to date, a song which also features Rowetta and Suga Mike. It's one of three tracks that will be released as an EP this August titled 'Grand Theft Audio 1'. Featuring songs ‘Blind man & the Junkie’, ‘Show Me The Truth’ and a really cool recording of ‘Gods Cop’, with his ‘Country-Funk’ version.

Below Gaz tells ZANI what the song and the new video is all about

"It is really just showing the past and present and how they overlap and things never really change..Quite sad how we never seem to learn from the past. It can mean a million things, nothing in particular and everything" - Gaz Whelan

You can catch Gaz this year playing his acoustic performance of Happy Monday songs. Dates which also include support shows on the upcoming Proud Mary UK tour this autumn (see below)

About Us

ZANI was conceived in late 2008 and the fan base gradually grew by word of mouth. Key contributors came from those of the music, film and fashion industry and the voice of ZANI grew louder. So, when in 2013 investor, contributor and fan of ZANI Alan McGee* offered his support to help restyle and relaunch the site it was inevitable that traffic would increase dramatically and continues to grow. *Alan McGee co-founder of Creation Records and new label 359 Music..
