We're launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the next stage of the Phoenix project. You can choose rewards from button badges to your name on the wall! Every contribution should come with the warm glow of knowing that you're supporting a great community venture.
For a few years now, there's been lots going on in the small venue. We had acoustic nights of excellent original music, family days, employment training, confidence building, beginners' open mics, writers' workshops, launches and so much more with every age group and background. We've also organised music outdoors, including StreetLive and the annual Phoenix Rising event in Woking park.
Now we are going to be moving into a large venue that can do all this AND bring in great national artists, give full band support slots and be a place for everyone to build. Together we can do so much!
This project is owned by the town and its residents. There are 100,000 people living here - imagine what we can make happen for our children and grandchildren. We can build something that they can own and be proud of, where they can express themselves, relax and not be anything other than their wild, wonderful amazing selves!
The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise funds we can use to get the venue up and running - including improving accessibility and lighting for daytime use. Please contribute if you can and share it with everyone you know! Please help us to get off to a flying start. We have this building for three years and we want to start something amazing that can last for generations…
