We No Longer Live in an Offline World

Wednesday, 10 October 2018 10:29 Written by
The internet has changed the world we live in. That’s a statement we’ve all heard and, possibly, even said in the past. However, when you stop and think about it, the reality goes way beyond a catchy soundbite. When you take stock of the industries that have been reshaped by the internet, the results are staggering.

Gazza Runs Riot!

Gazza was a god on the pitch and a hero to millions during an era of total domination for Rangers. This article needs no research on Wikipedia or copy and paste quotes from articles unrelated to football by lazy mainstream journalists who’re only interested in sensationalism. Nobody is perfect, but on the pitch Gazza was up there with the very best. Maradona, Zidane, Messi, on his day Gazza was every bit as good as these three.
DRUGS!
Drugs have been around forever, natural cures used by tribal Amazon natives all the way to the Chinese for thousands of years. Born in 1975 my first recollection of the mere mention of drugs was my dad explaining he smoked ‘ dope’ once and all it did was knock him off the park bench after 3 puffs. More partial to a day on the piss, dope didn’t appeal to my dad.

ZANI on Offender Profiling

Saturday, 29 September 2018 11:42 Written by
It's been twenty-six Years since Academy Award Winning Film Silence of the Lambs popularised and universalised the concept of criminal profiling also known as Offender profiling. An investigative device used by law enforcement agencies to discover likely suspects and analyse patterns and behaviours that may predict future offences and/or victims.

John Henry Hammond II (Born Manhattan, New York City, December 15, 1910 - Died Manhattan, New York City, July 10, 1987) was an American talent scout and producer, whose achievements in the record business will never be surpassed. As well as producing several significant American musical icons, he was a civil rights activist, a music critic, a philanthropist, and had a career that spanned six decades. His name is synonymous with Columbia Records (now Sony Records), and with artists from Billie Holliday to Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The Sound of 2018 – An Autumn Playlist

At the time of writing, this playlist was dedicated to the best new album and EP releases of the first three months of 2018, January to March. Since then there’s been a raft of other great musical discoveries wafting through the door like an aromatic winter draft, but sadly it’s all going to have to go in the reject bin for now until June has passed, after which I may well attempt an April to June list. For now though, you’ll have to make do with this.

About Us

ZANI was conceived in late 2008 and the fan base gradually grew by word of mouth. Key contributors came from those of the music, film and fashion industry and the voice of ZANI grew louder. So, when in 2013 investor, contributor and fan of ZANI Alan McGee* offered his support to help restyle and relaunch the site it was inevitable that traffic would increase dramatically and continues to grow. *Alan McGee co-founder of Creation Records and new label 359 Music..
