A Crafty Cigarette

Crafty Cigarette

Since 2012 Lake Garda is my holiday destination of choice, a place that I find exhilarating, fascinating, refreshing and heart-warming. These feelings are aroused the moment I step off the plane at Verona Airport, as I become engrossed with an overwhelming feeling of serenity and stimulation. Poetic as it sounds it is hard, if not impossible, to be drawn into a magical, mystical and even spiritual frame of mind.
The Origin

Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novella, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde published in 1886, is the renowned story of Dr Henry Jekyll, socialite and experienced doctor, yet underneath his positive persona Dr Jekyll is fighting a psychological battle between the good and evil within himself and believes that medicine would be able to contain the malevolent aspect of his personality.
The statistics make ugly reading for Eddie Jones and England rugby fans. Three Six Nations defeats in a row for the first time since 2006, a first defeat at Twickenham since October 2015 and England’s lowest ever Six Nations finish. It would be fair to state that Jones has a few questions to answer ahead of this summer’s tour to South Africa and next year’s World Cup.

After an extremely long time in development, it finally looks like VR and AR are making their way into mainstream acceptance and use. Far from the primitive devices like Nintendo's earlier Virtual Boy, modern VR headsets come in full colour and operate in a way which is not guaranteed to set off migraines and eye strain. Despite the amount of technological progress these have made, they still remain in their mainstream infancy. This leads us to wonder – where are these technologies going, and what can we expect in terms of their integration with modern education and entertainment?
Walked on Water and Glided on Grass

A football genius of balance and grace,
Self-styled icon and playmaking ace.
Midfield Guvnor with a talent so rare,
Would light up a match with his guile and flair.
The 11th staging of the World Cup TM was held in Argentina in 1978. The competition logo was based on the signature gesture of former President Juan Peron i.e., a salute to the crowd with both arms extended above his head. The design was had been in 1974, two years prior to the military coup in 1976. And whilst they tried to change the competition's logo, the design was already broadly commercialized and merchandise had already been made. A forced modification would automatically trigger a litany of lawsuits. against the country, and so the government dropped their objections.
